Caring for your London Fly Shoes

Naturally, all quality footwear will last longer if it is given the right care. Fly London offer the following advice for caring for shoes and boots.

Caring For leather: For ordinary leather footwear you can use your normal shoe polish. However, a number of Fly London Shoe and footwear products have a waxy leather type of finish. For these it is recommended that a polish that is wax based or Dubbin is used in order to maintain their special look. This will also nourish the leather and build their resistance to water.
Caring For Patent Leather: The recommendation here is to use a product designed specifically for the care of patent leather. This should be applied using a damp cloth.
Nubuck Leather and Suede: Unless it has been specifically treated during manufacture Fly London Nubuck leather and suede has no protective barrier. For the best protection of these types of leather a suede protection product that gives staining and soiling protection is recommended. If you should inadvertently scuff the suede finish, just use a Nubuck sponge or brush, brushing with a circular motion. light soiling can also be removed in the same fashion.
